We built our heaters with a modular setup. Instead of digging through a sealed chassis, you just slide out the infrared tube and the wiring harness. The weather seal stays exactly where it is, untouched. You don’t have to mess with the rest of the circuit or rewire the whole thing. You just swap the module, bolt it back in, and you’re back in business. We’re talking about turning a four-hour teardown into a ten-minute job.It’s that simple.
The trade-offs (Because nothing is magic)
Keeping something waterproof while making it “quick-swap” is a tricky balance. To make this work, we use heavy-duty gaskets and compression fittings. They make the heater a bit bulkier, but that’s a trade we’re happy to make. It’s the only way to keep moisture from sneaking in and frying your electrical terminals. One thing to keep in mind: these high-wattage tubes get hot. Really hot. If you cram these modules into a tiny, tight outdoor enclosure, you’re going to run into “heat soak.” Just make sure you leave enough room for airflow so the housing doesn’t warp over time.
